Stucco is an over-looked strong, fireproof, low cost, low maintenance finish. Stucco provides a better wind and moisture barrier than plastic sheathing, and brick.
Properly applied, seamless stucco will out-last the best pointed up brick wall and require less maintenance. One can find stucco on thousand year old buildings in Europe and the American Southwest. These structures attest to this fact.
